The codex is a PVP warfront in the game rift. Not only is it something that involves a pretty good amount of teamwork, this warfront itself can be done without any healers. Although it is highly unliked and is a major challenge without a healer, the soul objective of the warfront is to hold onto 3 places if you dont have the codex as one of the spots and 2 spots if you do hold onto the codex, which is the main one people try to get considering it is the one that holds the most point value to obtain from it. other then that the other ones are worth roughly the same amount of points even if it is closer to the enemy spawning point. The most points will always come from the codex. If you are on guardians side, people like to hold onto the statue ( that is closer to their side) and people on defiance like to try and hold scope and the codex ( scope is closer to defiant side). but the other way to win is to hold Scope, Vault, and Statue. First one up to 1000 points will be declared the winner of the game and kills and other things mean nothing in this game as long as your holding onto some of the 4 points you can obtain. Another way to win which is not as common instead of standing and guarding is attacking in a raid group. This strategy you get your team or a small portion of it together and go to each area and kill everyone claim it, wait till it is claimed and then move on to the next. Sometimes they leave 1 person behind to scout out to make sure no one comes back to reclaim but often they just go rampaging around the map. One other way it can be done is to split the raid group into 2 groups 10 and 10 then cover both exits for the spawning point for the enemy, Send one person out to claim all of the other map locations. send 2 out if one gets claimed because if you have a tight enough hold on them the only one who will slip by is a rogue, and they give some people trouble 1v1 and there may be more then one. I hope this helped everyone learn a little more about a game plan when it comes to this. Lots of people run around and claim the vault doesnt count and only codex. you cannot win with just the codex. and the vault can be key to a swift win or a tight squeeze where you fight it out to the last points.
